Our philosophy on foaling is the more hands on the better end product. You can't spend enough time with and handling newborns. The mare and or foal will not let you come between the bonding process. All of our foals grow up loving people and attention. The whole foaling and newborn process is the most rewarding and enjoyable time we have with our Clydesdales. We have experienced sadness also. From losing the mare to losing a newborn. These setbacks are painful, to say the least, but they have not squashed our drive and dedication to continue. After each loss, thoughts and questions arise as to "why continue?" It's because of the great love and joy that these gentle giants bring into our lives and the awe and magnificence they command wherever they go.
